Hertex eCommerce Platform
Project overview
As Product & Solutions Manager, I defined the end-to-end requirements for a large-scale retail eCommerce implementation serving three core segments: B2B Fabrics (the client’s core business), Homeware (a rapidly growing new line), and a Retail Inventory Management Tool integrated with the B2B platform and warehouse.
This required extensive business analysis, including travel across the country to engage stakeholders, map processes, and align the solution to real operational needs.

Key Outcomes
The platform enabled the business to expand into new revenue streams, digitise core operations, and improve stock management while laying a scalable foundation for future growth across both B2B and B2C channels.
01. Operational Efficiency & Process Digitisation
Core business processes quotations, orders, stock checks, replenishment, and fulfilment were digitised and streamlined. This reduced manual workload, lowered error rates, and improved warehouse and stock visibility across all channels.02. Revenue Growth & Market Expansion
The platform unlocked new revenue streams by enabling the business to scale its Homeware line and improve national reach. B2B customers gained easier ordering, leading to higher order volumes and improved customer retention.03. Scalability & Long-Term Foundations
The solution established a scalable digital infrastructure that supports ongoing expansion into future B2B and B2C channels. The architecture and requirements defined now serve as a long-term blueprint for new product lines, retail growth, and future integrations.
